KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said that the provincial government has started high level investigation into attack on the residence of QWP MPA Bakhtbaidar Khan in Chakdara, district Dir Lower. In a condolence message to QWP legislator, the chief minister said that a joint investigation team of police and other law enforcement agencies will investigate all aspects of the incident and will unveil all facts. The attack has claimed the lives of six persons including the brother of the legislator and security guards.
The chief minister said that the restoration of peace is the top priority of PTI government and that is the reason behind purging police department of political interference and dictations and the force has been given complete free hand.
Expressing deep grief and sorrow over the tragedy, he termed it open terrorism and highly condemnable. He said that soon after getting information of the incident, he called for the submission of detailed report from both police and administration in this regard. He said as soon Eid-ul-Fitre holidays are end further investigations will come into the forefront.
The chief minister said that a high level investigation committee has been constituted soon after the incident which includes the personnel of police, law-enforcement agencies and administration. He said that samples have been collected from the spot, whoever found involved will be brought into justice.
