Mid-term polls' demand by PTI termed childish

03 Aug, 2014

Terming the PTI chief Imran Khan's demand for holding mid-term polls `childish', PML-N's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter's Secretary Information, Nasir Khan Musazai, asked him to first honour his commitment of conducting local bodies' elections in a period of three months before making such a demand.
Talking to different delegations at his residence here on Saturday, he said that the provincial government's act of not holding local bodies' polls in 14 months amounted to its failure. He asked PTI to adopt democratic path for the resolution of problems, saying protests, sit-ins and marches would damage democracy.
He said that PML-N was ready for negotiations with the PTI, but the `captain' (Imran) had lost the sportsman spirit. He said as per their electoral pledges the central government of PML-N has put the country on the path of progress and development, while the PTI is creating hurdles in it. He demanded of the PTI chief to take steps for the welfare of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
