To mobilise party workers for the Azadi March on August 14, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has asked the provincial leadership to set up registration camps from August 6 to 14 in Punjab. According to a PTI Punjab's spokesperson here on Saturday, in a letter to PTI Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhary, Imran said PTI in its 18-year long struggle for change is now entering a decisive stage.
"This progress is due to the hard work and effort of the entire PTI team and workers," he added. He observed that as the time for long march approaches, they need to build up a hype that helps them achieve their million man target. Hence, he advised the PTI Punjab President to mobilise the general public into this movement, and creates enough publicity to scare their opponents.
"For this purpose it is mandatory that the office-bearers in collaboration with ticket holders organise Azadi March registration camps from August 6 to 14. Each MNA should organise two and MPA one each camp. The details of the camp mechanics should be briefed to the office-bearers to get the required outcomes," he added. He also advised that to make these camps effective, an independent monitoring and evaluation team should be set up that gives a daily progress report on their effectiveness.
