Jashan-e-Azadi walk held in Faisalabad

Jashan-e-Azadi walk was held on Saturday in connection with the Independence Day celebrations under the auspicious of district administration. The walk was led by MNA Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari, which started from Zila Council Chowk and culminated at Clock Tower Chowk after passing through the Circle Road and Katchery bazaar.
The officials of different district departments including MD WASA Syed Zahid Aziz, ADC Kanwar Ejaz Khaliq, ACs Shafiullah Khan, Malik Mushtaq Tiwana, representatives of civil society and the large number of citizens belonging to different walks of life participated in the walk.
The participants chanted slogans "Pakistan Zindabad, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad." Speaking on the occasion, MNA Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari congratulated the nation at the start of Independence Day celebrations and said that the living nations always celebrate day of independence with full zeal and enthusiasm. He said that the PML-N government has decided to celebrate independence festivities throughout the month of August at this year for apprising the new generation of the importance and significance of independence and the different aspects of Pakistan Movement.
Akram Ansari paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Pak army and said that the entire nation is standing with the Pak army. He said that present government is following revolutionary policies to steer the country out of the energy crisis and other issues. In the end special prayers were offered for the progress of the country, peace and national solidarity.
