Government is afraid of PTI rally: Khursheed

04 Aug, 2014

Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah has said that the federal government should inform whether it is scared of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan's rally on August 14. Shah said that deploying military in Islamabad under Article 245 of the Constitution for political aims is not appropriate.
The opposition leader added that Article 245 is not imposed even in the most tensed tribal areas. He added that the article should be imposed in Peshawar and Bannu if the situation is tensed.
"Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif had set up water stalls (Sabeel) to provide water to Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and his rally and safely escorted it to Islamabad during Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government," Shah said.
