In connection with the Independence Day celebrations, State Minister for Water & Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali laid floral wreath on the graves of martyrs of Pak Army and police at Ghulam Muhammadabad graveyard. MNA Haji Akram Ansari, MPA Mian Tahir Jamil, DCO Noorul Amin Mengal, CPO Suhail Habib Tajik were also accompanied with him. They also offered Fateha on the graves of martyrs. The police contingents presented salute on the monuments of the martyrs.
Talking to the newsmen, State Minister Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali saluted the Pak Army and said that the Pak Army was rendering valuable services for the durable peace in the country and war against terrorism and the Army jawans offering their lives for the protection of the motherland.
He said that the sacrifices of our forefathers during the Pakistan movement and the Pak army for safeguarding the country would not be forgotten and we were paying rich tributes to them while celebrating the Independence festivities. He said the terrorism would be eliminated thoroughly in the country for ever and Pakistan would be made peaceful Islamic welfare state.
The minister said the purpose of month long Independence celebrations was to make the patriotism sentiments more strengthened to show the message of national solidarity. DCO Noorul Amin Mengal informed that the special programmes were also being arranged for the families of the martyrs of Pak Army and police to express the solidarity with him on the occasion of Independence Day.
