KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the drowning of several members of the same family in board capsize incident in River Kabul near Nowshera and has called for inquiry report with immediate effect. However, he also warned district administration over the tragedy that in future no such incident will be tolerated in any part of the province. Otherwise, he said responsibility will directly rest on the administration.
He directed the fulfilling of all protective requirements for boating in rivers and touristy activities. Similarly, he has also directed that there should be complete ban on bathing in rivers.
In a condolence message, he has expressed heartiest sympathies with the affected bereaved families and prayed for the eternal peace of the diseased. The chief minister also directed district administration that for beside taking all possible protective measures and requirements on scientific lines it should also enforce ban on boating and bathing on river banks to prevent the occurrence of such gruesome incidents in future.
He said that those not agree for co-operation despite the directives of administration and stubborn to bath or boat in river without any protective measures should be sent behind bars without bail for several days. He said that on the basis of such negligence the government will not put the precious lives of the people at risk.
