JI to organise 'Gaza Million March' on August 17

Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Karachi chapter has announced to organise a "Gaza Million March" on August 17 at Shara-e-Faisal from Baloch Colony to the FTC. The decision was made during a meeting of the office bearers of the JI Karachi held at Idara-e-Noor Haq on Sunday with city Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman in chair.
The JI office bearers strongly condemned the death of around 1670 Palestinians including innocent children, women and elderly men by the brutal bombing of Israel.
Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that the hearts of Karachiites are with the people of Gaza and people will prove it on August 17 by participating in "Gaza Million March" in large numbers.
During the meeting, various committees were also formed in order to review the arrangements of "Gaza Million March".
As per details, Engineer Sabir Ahmed will look after the charge of Administrative Committee, Osama Razi will look after the charge of Publicity Committee, Muslim Pervez will have a responsibility to contact with the leadership of different political and religious parties, Abdul Wahab will have a responsibility to contact with the notables of professional forums and its sub-organisations, Muzaffar Ahmed Hashmi will have a responsibility to contact with the consul general of different countries and Rashid Qureshi will have a responsibility to contact with the office bearers of different districts.
It is pertinent to mention here that the camps would be set up in different areas of the city, where funds for innocent Palestinians would be collected, adding that corner meetings would also be arranged at markets, mosques and streets in this regard. Furthermore, barbarism of Israel on Palestinians would also be displayed by pictorial exhibition in different areas of city.
