Newly-appointed Secretary Livestock and Dairy Development Department Punjab Nasim Sadiq visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore and called on Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha on Tuesday. The Vice-Chancellor briefed the Secretary on the academic, research, extension and training programmes of the UVAS.
He said the UVAS is playing a key role in development of livestock and related sectors by producing competent trained manpower and conducting field-oriented research. The Secretary and the Vice-Chancellor resolved to work jointly for the development of livestock sector.
While a five-day training workshop titled "Pre-Service Competency Enhancement Training for Teachers" began in the University of Veterinary and Animals Sciences Lahore on Tuesday. Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Busines Management Professor Dr Nasim Ahmad chaired the inaugural session of the workshop organised by the Center for Educational Policy and Administration (CEPA) of the UVAS for the newly-appointed faculty members.
