How unfortunate it is that there is hardly any hope of a resolution of the current dangerous crisis in the country. Not only has PTI chairman Imran Khan further stepped up his hostile rhetoric against the federal government, he has also made it clear that PTI and government could reach an agreement if the latter accepts some of its earlier demands of verifying the voters thumb impressions as demanded by the party earlier.
In his Friday's Press conference he seems to have painted a grave scenario. According to him, the way police are trying to stop the workers will pave the way for the army to intervene, for which government would be solely responsible. At that same Press conference, he sought to 'clarify' that his 'Azadi March' was not aimed at inviting army. When Imran made these remarks, he let the cat out of the bag.
