Interior ministry finalizes Eid-ul-Fitr holidays

The federal government has announced a four-day long holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr, which is expected to fall either on June 15 or June 16, after interior ministry submitted a summary for the vacations.

According to a statement issued by interior ministry, the government has approved a four-day log holiday for Eid. As per details, the holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr are from June 15 till June 18.

The Meteorological department has predicted that the Shawaal moon might be sighted on June 14. However, the Met Office has also predicted that various parts of the country to witness overcast conditions.

Meanwhile, Eid holidays have also been announced in Saudi Arabia. Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz announced a 10-day Eid-ul-Fitr holidays for public sector employees, Gulf News reported.

Eid holidays for Oman have also been announced. According to a statement from Oman's state news agency, holidays for public sector employees begin on June 15 and end on June 18.
