Punjab government has imposed section 144 throughout the province until August 18. According to the notification from the Home department of the Punjab government, no one would be permitted to get assemble in a number exceeding four. However, those having formal permission from the district administrations are exempted from the imposition of section 144.
Further, no one would be allowed to carry nail-laden batons, petrol bombs and any other terror-oriented substance. The protestors would also be barred from carrying gas masks. Also, they said, fiery speeches and using women and children as a protective shield would also not be allowed.
