Modi greets Pakistan on Independence Day

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted people of Pakistan on their independence day. "On the occasion of their Independence Day, I convey my greetings to the people of Pakistan," he posted. At the Wagah border crossing, Pakistan army personnel gifted their Indian counter parts sweets. On the other hand, the Pakistan High Commission observed the Independence Day in New Delhi. Pakistan's High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, addressed the gathering after hoisting his country's flag in the high commission premises.
