National flag hoisting ceremonies were arranged and cakes of 68th anniversary of Pakistan cut in various hospitals on the eve of Independence Day. Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister on Health, Khawaja Salman Rafique hoisted national flag at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Medical Superintendent Dr Umar Farooq Baloch, administrative doctors, nurses and a large number of paramedical staff were present on the occasion.
Participants in the function jointly presented national anthem and prayed for the development and prosperity of the country. Meanwhile, Principal Fatima Jinnah Medical College Professor Dr Sardar Fakhar Imam and faculty members hoisted national flag in the college. A large number of students attended the ceremony. Moreover, MS Mayo Hospital Dr Amjad Shahzad hoisted national flag in Mayo Hospital and a function of national flag hoisting was held in Government Nawaz Sharif Hospital Yakki Gate. MS Dr Shafqat cut the cake and presented national anthem on the occasion.
