Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq Thursday said the government had given a safe way to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) in the national interest and now their leaders should show a sense of responsibility and keep their marchers in limit.
"The government believes in politics of nobility and decency but at the same time it will not allow any body to take law in hand in the garb of protests and sit-ins," he added. Talking to a private channel, he said the country was passing through history's most critical juncture and at a time when the entire nation was at war against terrorism and the Pakistan Army was carrying out operation Zarb-e-Azb to curb militancy from the country, entire political parties should show unanimity. He said from day first, the government had been asking the PTI leader to come and discuss electoral reforms issue in the parliament's committee but he always threatened for long march to polish his politics and cover up his party's failures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said the masses had seen faces of those wanted to create chaos and anarchy through negative politics. He said the PML-N government would continue to serve the people through its revolutionary economic policies. The minister advised the PTI and PAT leadership that since the Prime Minister had announced setting up a judicial commission to probe into rigging allegations in May 11, 2013 elections, they must shed politics of vendetta and cooperate with the government to steer the country out of crisis.
