PU teacher gets 'Nor-Fishing Foundation Travel Grant Award'

Professor of Zoology, University of Punjab, Lahore, Professor Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan has been awarded the "Nor-Fishing Foundation Travel Grant Award 2014" by the Royal Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, Norway. Erik Hempel, Director of Communications, The Nor-Fishing Foundation, has informed the award recipient, Dr Naeem Khan that "as a consequence of your initiative, The Nor-Fishing Foundation has decided to establish a permanent Travel Grant to be awarded annually to a person from a developing country. The grant will be awarded every year, and you will thus be the first person to receive this award."
Dr Naeem Khan has been invited to attend the international fisheries fair and international aquaculture fair "Nor-Fishing and Aqua Nor Exhibitions-2014" in Trondheim, Norway to be held from August 19 to 22, 2014 as an official guest of the Government of Norway. This is third international travel conference award won by Dr Naeem Khan in a row in 2014. Earlier, he won the American Fisheries Society Partial Travel Grant Award for Western Division AFS Annual Conference held in Mazatlan, Mexico, from April 7 to 11, 2014.
Recently, he also won the World Aquaculture Society (WAS), Partial Travel Grant Award for "World Aquaculture 2014" held in Adelaide, Australia, from June 7 to 11, 2014. Dr Naeem Khan has 29 years of illustrious professional career as Professor, Registrar, Director External Linkages, Punjab University's Professor, Dean and Chairman, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Director Fisheries, Government of Punjab. A PhD from the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, he is already recipient of five gold medals and many other international awards. He is author of 41 internationally published and 48 nationally published research papers and have attended 26 international conferences overseas.
