A house of a lawyer, located in Defence Housing Authority, was set on fire by unknown assailants on Thursday. However, no causality was reported in the incident. Ashfaq Rizvi, a lawyer of Sindh High Court (SHC), whose home is located on Khayaban-e- Baadban in Defence Housing Authority's (DHA) Phase-V, was set on fire by unknown persons during early hours of Thursday when his entire family was asleep.
"Though none of the lawyer's family members received injuries in the incident, two vehicles which were parked outside his house were completely damaged in the fire," an official of Darakhshan police station told Business Recorder. "It would be too early to say anything about the incident, the police official said, adding that neither the lawyer has approached police in this regard nor an FIR about the incident has, so far, been registered.
