Ecuador said Thursday that three people - not four - were killed in an earthquake that shook the country this week, triggering deadly landslides. Quito Mayor Mauricio Rodas corrected the toll, saying authorities had mistakenly reported that a man who was injured in the quake had died. Two workers and a young boy were killed in the 5.1-magnitude quake that struck Tuesday near the Ecuadoran capital, he said. Rodas said the city has received 584 reports of damage to buildings and houses that are being checked out.
