Rain, thunder shower forecast for Islamabad over next 24 hours

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) protestors are likely to continue bearing the weather brunt for one another day as Met office on Saturday forecast rain-thunder showers for Islamabad in the next 24 hours. The supporters of PTI and PAT, who are protesting in the capital to agitate against the government, will continue to undergo the rainy weather while staying in open.
Isolated heavy falls may occur in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Hazara, Peshawar divisions and Kashmir on Sunday, the office said in its weekly weather report. "Seasonal low lies over North Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending north-eastwards. Moderate monsoon currents are penetrating upper and central parts of the country. A westerly wave is also affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist till Monday (morning)," it said.
It said rain-thundershowers are expected at scattered places of Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions), upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, D.I.Khan divisions), Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while at isolated places in Multan, D G Khan, Zhob, Quetta and Kalat, Sukkur and Larkana divisions on Sunday.
However it predicts mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country on Monday. It said rain-thundershowers might fall at few places of Hazara and Rawalpindi divisions and Kashmir. On Tuesday, it said, mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershowers are expected at a few places of Hazara, Rawalpindi divisions and Kashmir.
