Pakistan Ship's Agents Association (PSAA) has showed strong reservations on current unrest in the country as it is causing the huge losses to the national exchequer as well as bringing bad name to the country. PSAA protests on using containers belonging to its members as barricades by law enforcement agencies who have taken containers by force from transporters and some of which are heavily loaded.
On average 3,000 containers per day laden with Export cargoes arrive from upcountry and 2,000 containers laden with Import cargoes leave Karachi Port or Port Qasim for upcountry.-PR
