The leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has appealed to Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chiefs to withdraw their ultimatums and refrain from any move that could lead to bloodshed. In a statement issued here by the MQM, Altaf said that they had exhibited patience and they must keep their protest peaceful for the sake of the country.
He thanked the federal government and the provincial government of the Punjab for showing restraint and not taking any kind of force against the participants of the march. He asked the political parties carrying out the protest marches to desist from entering the Red Zone and attacking government installations at any cost.
Altaf urged the government to start dialogues with the PTI and PAT. He said that the legitimate demands should be accepted.
He said it was necessary to make every effort to resolve the issues by holding dialogues. The MQM chief also appealed to the protesting parties to refrain from anything that could lead to confrontation. He asked them to show flexibility.
