Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday warned that any attempt to place him under house arrest would backfire as it would make it further difficult for the government to control a charged crowd of PTI workers in his absence.
Addressing the participants of his Azadi March late Monday night, he said his workers have made up their mind to march towards the Parliament House for a peaceful protest. "I'm getting messages that the government might place me under house arrest but I still warn you [government] not to go for such a blunder," he cautioned.
Addressing Prime Minister NAwaz Sharif, he said: "I warn you Nawaz Sharif not to take any such step as people from all over the country have headed towards federal capital after my call [and] it is my sincere advise please walk out as we don't accept a legitimate prime minister". PTI chairman claimed he had information that people from Lahore, Mardan, Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan and other nearby cities are on their way to Islamabad to witness the 'final match' being played against the 'fake prime minister' at 6pm (Tuesday).
