The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration on Monday put the capital city on 'red alert' following Pakistan Tehree-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan's announcement that he would enter the Red Zone today. Local administration directed the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to form three security layers around the 'Red Zone'.
The government added over 10,000 personnel to security forces in and around Red Zone on Monday raising the total strength to 40,000. According to an official, the administration has also decided to seal up the entry and exit points of the twin cities after the PTI chief called upon its party workers from across the country, especially from Lahore and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), to join the march on Tuesday.
