Altaf asks Imran to initiate dialogue with government

19 Aug, 2014

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has urged chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan to initiate dialogue with government without any further loss of time. Talking to officials of MQM on telephone, Altaf said the government has delayed the dialogue process. He said that the current political situation is proving to be detrimental for the country.
He questioned how will this civil disobedience movement prove to cause any damage to the government when people are already not paying their bills and taxes? Altaf said that he is not a supporter of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) that has not treated MQM well in the past but he is also not a supporter of politics of vengeance. Imran and Nawaz should initiate talks for peace. He said prime minister should not have left the country for Saudi Arabia for 10 days in view of a volatile political situation in the country.
