The Supreme Court on Tuesday suspended the Sindh Election Tribunal decision and restored the membership of Pakistan People's Party's member Sindh Assembly Ghulam Qadir Chandio from PS-27. The three-member bench led by Chief Justice Nasir-Ul-Mulk comprising Justice Amir Hani and Justice Mushir Alam heard the Ghulam Qadir Chandio's petition against Election Tribunal's decision for re-election in the constituency.
Sindh United Party member Zainul Abedeen had challenged Chandio's membership of the provincial assembly and had filed a petition in the ECP. The Supreme Court suspended the Election Tribunal decision for re-election in the PS-27. The court accepted his appeal and issued notices to respondents and adjourned hearing of the case for indefinite period.
