The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Senator Rehman Malik has said that politicians should understand the statements made by Pakistan Army's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Rehman Malik said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif needs to take immediate steps to defuse the political tension in the country. He also said that the government and democracy should remain separated.
"Let us hope that the situation does not head towards Kakar Formula," Rehman Malik said. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should get himself out of the mess by keeping the constitution in front of him. He feared that collision might occur if the government does not get out of the political crises. "Both the country and democracy will be harmed if a collision takes place," Malik said. He urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to understand the situation after ISPR gave the statement. He added that Nawaz Sharif should consult good and capable advisors.
