Parliamentary Secretary Rana Muhammad Arshad has said that the PML-N government is discharging its important responsibility towards the elimination of terrorism, sectarianism, parochial and linguistic prejudices, adding that the Muslim Students Federation is playing a vanguard role in this regard.
He said that no effort will be spared for protecting the security of the country. He said that some vested elements are bent upon derailing democratic system but Pakistani nation will not allow them to succeed in their nefarious designs as the secret of survival and development of the country lies in democracy.
He expressed these views while addressing a seminar held under the aegis of Nazaria-e-Pakistan Trust on Wednesday. Intellectuals and a large number of students of Muslim Students Federation were present on the occasion. Rana Arshad said that Pakistan was achieved through democratic struggle and its development and survival depends upon promotion of democracy.
He said that some political adventurists are trying to derail democracy but they will not be allowed to do so rather they will be dealt with legally and constitutionally. The Parliamentary Secretary said that the nation expects wise and serious attitude from its political leaders but some elements are trying to destabilise the government by creating chaos and anarchy. Rana Arshad said, "We should pledge that we will serve the country by rising above mutual differences and maintain unity and solidarity in our ranks so that the democracy should be strengthened and the process of development started by the PML-N government could be completed smoothly.
