Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has picked Germany as his favorite team that he wants to see lift the FIFA World Cup 2018.

Speaking to the media at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium, he said, “Germany have always been favorite for me. They were my favorite for the last tournament and in this tournament as well.”

Meanwhile, commenting on his farewell match against West Indies against Lord’s, he said, “It is not only an honour for me but it is an honour for Pakistan that I led the all starts XI against West Indies. I couldn’t have asked for a better farewell game”.

Afridi was given a guard of honour at his farewell international match against West Indies by World XI players. He was captain of the side in place of injured Eion Morgan.

On the other hand, while giving his views on Ramazan Cricket tournaments in Karachi, Pakistan legend said Karachi has always been the city of lights. “There are good tournaments being organized in Ramazan across Pakistan, but especially in Karachi.”

“I think they should be held regularly. Credit goes to Law Enforcement Agencies for the success of such tournaments,” he added.
