At least 11 people were killed and nine others wounded when two buses collided with each other in the city area of Faiz Ganj in Sunday's wee hours. According to police sources, the two vehicles bumped into each other on Mehran National Highway near Faiz Ganj owing to over speeding, killing at least 11 people and injuring 9 others.
Bodies and the injured were shifted to hospitals of Faiz Ganj and Nawabshah. Sources said one person succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. It was feared that the death toll might rise further due to critical condition of some of the injured. An investigation has been launched into the accident. President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Ishratul Ebad expressed grief over the loss of life and prayed for eternal rest and peace of the departed souls.
