National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has declared the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) as best Distribution Company of the Pakistan. This was stated by the NEPRA Authority during the hearing of the Fesco tariff petition.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Fesco Eng Rashid Ahmed Aslam and Chief Financial Officer Muhammad Iqbal Ghori presented the tariff petition and said that Fesco stands first at Combined Efficiency Index (CEI) and its payment to the Central Power Purchase Agency (CPPA) this year is 105 percent which was 103 percent last year. They further said that Fesco is the only company of Pakistan that is not producing any circular debt. Similarly, only this company transferred the executive powers to the grassroots level for the maximum facilitation of the consumers.
Payments to the suppliers, contractors and pensioners are being made through a transparent process and they are also informed through SMS for their payment. They said that Fesco has prepared its business plan for the next year. They further said that ERP is being implemented in Fesco because company wants to increase its efficiency and facilitate the consumers. They said the system should be upgraded after the repair of damaged transformers which are working on one leg.
