WhatsApp already gave us the solution to delete regrettable messages or those sent to wrong contact via ‘Delete for Everyone’ feature. Now, Snapchat has taken the same route too and has introduced a similar feature.
Just yesterday, the company introduced a new feature that will let users delete sent messages before they are opened. Moreover, the feature has been rolled out to some people and will roll out for everyone within next few weeks, as per The Verge.
For deleting a sent message, Snapchat explained that the user would have to just press and hold on the content such as audio, picture, video and text. A pop-up will appear giving options including ‘Save in Chat’, ‘Copy’ and ‘Delete’. Just tap the delete option and the message will be deleted.

However, the person on the other end will get a notification that the user has deleted something, but won’t know what it is as long as it wasn’t opened, similar to WhatsApp.
