Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi said massive rigging took place in the 2013 general elections. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while talking to media in Karachi, said four PTI members of Sindh Assembly have submitted their resignations to the party and that will soon be submitted to the House. "The government is in a state of panic and PTI does not have confidence in Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif," Qureshi said.
The PTI leader also said elections were rigged throughout the country including Sindh. He claimed that former president Asif Ali Zardari told PTI Chairman Imran Khan that the elections were 'ruled' by the Returning Officers (ROs). Qureshi further claimed that Punjab wing of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) told Zardari that they were unhappy with his luncheon meeting with the Prime Minister and said they will faithfully defend democracy. "We will laud any political party who plays a positive role in the ongoing political turmoil," he added.
