Heavy rains in Punjab: Shahbaz directs administration to take emergency steps

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif closely monitored the situation arising due to heavy rains in Lahore and other areas of Punjab and issued necessary instructions to provincial administration and heads of concerned departments for coping with the situation.
The Chief Minister while issuing instructions to provincial administration said that emergent situation demands immediate steps and all out resources should be utilised for dealing with the situation created due to heavy rains. He said that no effort should be spared for immediate redressal of problems of the people.
The Chief Minister directed provincial administration and concerned departments to accelerate relief activities and said that Punjab government equally shares the grief of heirs of the deceased persons. Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif has also expressed his deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of human lives and property due to heavy rains in Azad Kashsmir. He expressed heartfelt sympathies and condolences with bereaved families over the martyrdom of three army jawans including an officer in Bagh due to land sliding during heavy rains. He has also prayed for the early recovery of injured army jawans.
