Bollywood actor and ex-Bigg Boss contestant Armaan Kohli has been arrested by Mumbai police for physically abusing his girlfriend Neeru Randhawa.

The actor had allegedly been absconding ever since his girlfriend filed a physical assault complaint against him on June 3. The police later traced Armaan at a farmhouse in Lonavala and arrested him for interrogation. The actor was hiding in his friend's farmhouse at Lonavala.

According to Indian media reports, Neeru spoke up about the physical assault she went through and faced by her boyfriend. “I manage Armaan’s villa in Goa, which is often rented out and had made a booking for a client. However, the client had made the payment to the villa staff and when Armaan asked me about the money, I told him that I will ask the staff to transfer it," she said.

Neeru claimed that of a sudden he started verbally abusing her. "Before I realised what was happening, he caught me by my hair and banged my head against the floor. I begged him to allow me to go to the hospital, promising that I wouldn’t approach the police. The wound was so deep that I had to undergo a surgery. The doctor told me that the scar would be visible even after the surgery, as the assault has damaged my skin tissues”.

Armaan and Neeru have been in a live-in relationship since 2015. They met through a common friend and soon started dating. Reportedly, Neeru also confessed that Armaan had been sending her text messages and requesting her to come back home. He even said that he is ready to marry her right away.

Kohli grabbed the limelight while participating in Indian reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ in 2013. During the show, he started dating actress Kajol's sister/actor Tanishaa Mukerji, who was his fellow contestant on the show. The two, however, parted ways due to alleged differences in temperament and personality.
