Deutsche Bank Wednesday announced the appointment of Ahmer Hasan as Chief Country Officer for Deutsche Bank in Pakistan. He is taking over responsibility from Faizan Mitha, who will be moving to the Gulf region in a new role to assist the bank on regional business development initiatives. In his new role Ahmer will report into Ashok Aram, Deutsche Bank''s CEO for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Ahmer has successfully worked for Deutsche Bank since 1996 in various functions including sales, trading and origination. He was Head of Global Markets in Pakistan before moving to London in 2006. In London, Ahmer has been a senior member of the Capital Markets & Treasury Solutions division covering a broad range of clients in the Middle East, CIS and Africa regions. He has made significant contribution to building the bank''s bond and Sukuk origination business across the region and will continue to support the coverage efforts in maintaining the bank''s leading debt origination business across MENA region.
