Prime Minister vows to make Pakistan a model Islamic welfare state

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has stressed the need for striving to fulfil the Quaid's mission of making Pakistan a model Islamic welfare state. The prime minister stated this in his message on the 66th death anniversary of the Founder of the Nation, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, falling today (September 11).
"On this day, let us express the resolve that the legacy of our Quaid is carried forward with determination. We must strive to fulfil Quaid's mission of making Pakistan a model Islamic welfare state," he said. Paying tribute to the Father of Nation, he said being a man of sterling character, Quaid-i-Azam fought for an independent homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent.
He set an example of hard work and selfless services to his nation, which is a source of inspiration for every Pakistani, he added. "Let us promise that in our individual capacities each one of us will serve Pakistan without any selfish motive and devote our energies to make Pakistan a great country, a land of people bestowed with freedom, equality and justice."
