The 19th edition of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) 2018, one of India’s most prestigious award ceremonies, will held at Bangkok and will have a heavy dose of entertainment.
The event will see some unusual performances by stars, including Bobby Deol and Rekha. Both the actors will perform live onstage after quite some time. Rekha is all set to perform on stage after 20 years at the upcoming IIFA event.
Addressing a press conference of IIFA, actor Varun Dhawan made the announcement and said it will be the highlight of the ceremony. When asked which songs she would be performing on, the veteran actor said, “I have a second name - mystery,” Indian media reported.
It was back in 2004 when Rekha grooved with Shah Rukh Khan to her popular track ‘Pardesiya Ye Sach Hai Piya’ from the film ‘Mr. Natwarlal’ at an award show.
Meanwhile, this year's IIFA ceremony will be hosted by Karan Johar and Riteish Deshmukh. Apart from Rekha’s special act, IIFA will witness performances by several Bollywood stars including Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Vaani Kapoor Nushrat Bharucha and Iulia Vantur.
The star-studded event is scheduled to held from June 22 to June 24.
