Huawei, a leading global ICT solution provider, plans to increase its footprint of training and certifications in Pakistan and has selected FAST-National University (NU) to become its learning partner (Huawei Authorised Learning Partner--HALP). HALP refers to a professional training organisation that is authorised by Huawei to implement Huawei's certification training programs, under Huawei's supervision and management after passing its assessment.
An agreement-signing ceremony was held on 11th September at FAST- National University's Islamabad Campus, attended by senior managers of Huawei, FAST-NU faculty and more than 100 students. By the establishment of this HALP, the students of FAST will get specialised learning opportunities, within their University.
Huawei's Director, Delivery and Services, stated: We are thankful to the FAST-NU for providing us the opportunity for identifying and nurturing ICT talent in Pakistan. Globally, Huawei's 'Talent Education Solution' provides comprehensive support to students, new employees and engineers working at associate, professional and expert levels. The talent support is based on the career-development and lifecycle of ICT (Information and Computer Technology) talent. Through partnerships with higher educational institutions, Huawei continues to equip college students with technical skills that are needed for success in the ICT industry of the future. The establishment of HALP at FAST is yet another step toward our vision.
Under this agreement, FAST-NU shall be offering training programs on HCDA, HCDP, HCNA-UC, HCNP-UC and HCNA-Storage. Special laboratories are being established by Huawei in Pakistan to offer these training programs for students and professionals.
