The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday de-notified the membership of Member National Assembly Maulvi Agha Muhammad in a fake degree case. The ECP had announced the de-notification of MNA on the decision passed by the Election Tribunal-II Quetta in election Petition No 318/2013 titled Muhammad Essa Roshan Vs Molvi Agha Muhammad and other.
He was elected as an MNA from NA-261 Pishin-Ziarat on a ticket of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) during the general elections held last year. Earlier, an election tribunal in Balochistan had disqualified him in a fake degree case. Essa Roshan, a candidate of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) from the same constituency had challenged his degree.
