A judicial magistrate here on Tuesday released 29 workers of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) allegedly involved in creating agitation against the government. Earlier the workers were before the court of Judicial Magistrate Imtiaz Ahmad Noor. Their counsel Agha Shahzeb argued that the workers had not been involved in any illegal or unconstitutional act. He said police intentionally implicated them in the case just to stop them from holding peaceful protest.
The government was victimising them on political grounds, he pleaded. He therefore prayed to release them. After hearing the arguments of the petitioners' counsel, the magistrate ordered police to release the PTI workers.
