Martyrs are real asset of police force: KP IGP

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has said that police jawans who sacrificed their precious lives in line of duty are real asset of the force and all available resources would be utilised for the welfare of the families of martyrs. This he said during his visit to the resident of Shaheed Head Constable Afrasiyab at Panam Dheri, Mathra Peshawar Wednesday.
It may be recalled that Head Constable Afrasiyab had embraced martyrdom in an attack on police mobile by unknown armed persons in the jurisdiction of Badhaber police station the other day while SHO Badhaber narrowly escaped the attack. The police chief expressed deep grief and sorrow with the bereaved family and offered fateha for the departed soul. The IGP prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and courage and fortitude to the deceased family to bear the irreparable loss.
The IGP paid glowing tributes to the meritorious services and professional commitment of the martyred by saying that Afrasiyab sacrificed his life in mid night in line of duty which bespoke volume of his sincerity and devotion to duty and added that such jawans are the real asset of the Nation.
The IGP pointed out that the sacrifices offered by jawans will not go waste and will be made beacon of light for other jawans of the force to follow. He vowed that writ of law would be established at all cost and the society would be made citadel of peace. The police chief categorically made it clear that those targeting the custodian of law would not be spared and would be dealt with strictly. He directed the police officers present on the occasion to tighten the noose around the neck of the killers and bring them to justice at the earliest. The IGP announced full Police Shaheed package for the heirs of Shaheed.
Talking with the IGP the father of the Shaheed informed that before that three persons of his family have already embraced martyrdom in line of duty and the whole family was proud of them and vowed that more sacrifices would be offered for the sake of the country. It may be recalled that the Shaheed was going to get married in next month. On this occasion the IGP also announced the enlistment of the Shaheed smaller brother in the police force.
Chief Capital City Police Officer Peshawar Muhammad Ijaz Khan, PSO to IGP Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf and SP Rural Peshawar Shakirullah Bangash also accompanied the IGP on this occasion.
