Three police officers suspended for faulty investigations

Taking strong notice of the complaints about faulty investigation in three different cases, the police chief of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has suspended the delinquent officials and ordered an initial enquiry against them. In the first case, the IGP KP during his interaction with the public on the eve of his visit to Chitral was informed about the reservations of the complainants in a case of murder registered in the jurisdiction of Darosh police station.
Consequently, the case was examined by the crimes branch at Peshawar and after their findings, SHO Hussain Ahmed, Investigation Officer Sardar Wali and Circle Officer Rahim Gul have been suspended and departmental action has been ordered against them. Likewise, in another complaint, the complainants from Upper Dir had informed to the IGP KP about faulty investigation in a murder case registered in the jurisdiction of Ghandigar police station. The case was handed over to Crimes Branch Peshawar and on the basis of their recommendations, a letter of displeasure has been issued to SP Investigation Upper Dir while the investigation officer Sub-Inspector Salahaudin has been suspended and departmental action has been ordered against him. In the third case, the IGP KP has suspended the investigation officer SI Farid Shah of police station Daudzai (Peshawar) on the complaints of faulty investigation after the matter was enquired into by the Crimes Branch Peshawar.
