Technology giant IBM announced Watson Analytics, a product that will bring big data analysis to business users, the company said Tuesday. The super computer Watson, who triumphed about three years ago against a human player at the US quiz show Jeopardy, has been further developed into a commercial technology that aims to simplify and streamline predictive data analytics for businesses.
The cloud-based natural language service will be able to answer complex questions quickly "with speed, accuracy and confidence," the statement said.
It will analyse big data quickly and generate visual aides, the company promises. Watson Analytics will be available as a beta version in the fourth quarter of 2014.
