Adviser to Pakistan's Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, and Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif discussed subjects of bilateral interest, including the Pak-Iran gas-pipeline, at a meeting on Monday. "Views were also exchanged on regional situation," a press release of the Pakistan Mission to the UN said.
It said the two ministers decided that the momentum generated by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's visit to Iran earlier this year should be maintained through enhanced interactions between the two countries at every level. Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry and Pakistan's Ambassador to United States, Jalil Abbas Jilani were also present during the meeting.
