Five killed, four injured in Karachi

Five people were killed while four others injured in separate incidents of violence here on Monday. According to police and rescue sources, Javed, son of Aziz, was shot dead by unknown people near Light House, in the jurisdictions of Napier police station. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital (CH) for medico-legal formalities.
Another man, aged between 35 to 40 years old was gunned down by unknown assailants in Chakiwara area of Lyari. Police said the identity of the deceased could not be ascertained; however the body of the victim was shifted to the Civil Hospital for autopsy.
In another case, Riaz Ahmad, son of Abdul Qadir, was crashed to death by a speedy train near Ghaggar Phatak. The body was shifted to JPMC for post-mortem examinations. An unknown man was gunned down by unidentified people near Hanfia Mosque, located in the Lyari Jhat Pat market. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examinations. A body was recovered from a 'Nullah' near Nasir Jump, in the limits of Zaman Town police station. It was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsy.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Ali, son of Rasool Bux, was shot and injured while offering resisting a robbery bid in Saudia Colony in Malir Extension Colony in the jurisdiction of Khokhrapar police station. He was rushed to the JPMC for treatment.
Similarly, Javed Iqbal, son of Muhammad Hussain, was shot dead by unknown man in Sultanabad, Manghopir area. The injured was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medical assistance. In the same way, Shahid, son of Ashiq Khan, was injured by armed assailant in Orangi Town, Sector No-14C. He was moved to the ASH for treatment. Likewise, Qudratullah, son of Muhammad Alhaaj, was shot and injured by unknown man in PIB Colony, in the jurisdictions of PIB police station. He was rushed to the JPMC for treatment.
