Vice Chairman Pakistan People's Party and former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would formally start his political career on October 18 public meeting at Mazar-e-Quaid. Briefing media persons after party's Core Committee meeting at Bilawal House, Gilani said that Bilawal would strengthen the state institutions.
"All eyes are now set on Bilawal Bhutto, as PPP is the genuine opposition party," he asserted To a question, Gilani said that PPP was least bothered about Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). "Javed Hashmi says he is still the president of PTI, but he is contesting the elections as an independent candidate," he stated. The former prime minister said that Benazir Bhutto had returned to Pakistan from exile on October 18 and the public meeting is being held to observe the anniversary of her return from exile. Earlier, addressing the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the PPP again would be made the party of masses through mass mobilisation.
