Widow demands arrest of husband's killers

A bereaved widow of slain Pir Muhammad hailing from Risalpur district Nowshera demanded the provincial government and police high ups to provide protection, arrest the killers of her husband, who was a member of reconciliatory committee in the district.
Addressing a news conference at Press Club here on Wednesday, the widow Nangreza Bibi said that her slain husband was a member of reconciliatory committee in the district and a well-wisher for the people of the area and member of reconciliation committee.
She said that there were some wicked and notorious people in the village, who she added were drug sellers, had tamed hired killers, running dens of gambling, pestered the localities and all kind of negative activities with connivance of local police, they were doing without any fear. She also accused of the killers of abducting girls of noble by forces and sold them. Due to these negative activities, they took several enmities not only in the village but also of the district, she informed.
Since my husband was mediator and had good status for which he had also been bestowed with certificate by the then Inspector General of Police (IG) Malik Naveed. She said Pir Muhammad always had advised the wicked people of the locality of not to be strayed in sins and tried his best to put them on right path, which she added made them ever resented.
Meanwhile, some enemies of the mentioned wrongdoers would have killed their men in the village (Bara Bandah) and then they registered First Information Report (FIR) against my family (Husband and sons), she added that Pir Muhammad had himself gone district Mardan and handed over his accused sons to police for investigation.
Accompanied by her son Gul Siyar, she said that the court acquitted her sons in fake case. I'm patient tuberculosis while my husband came from the district to acquire my health, meanwhile those notorious people with some 40 armed men along with hired killers led by Zar Shed, Mahmud, Nazar, Zuber, Yar Muhammad and others attacked my home in the day light. The attackers, the widow blamed that locked all daughters-in-laws in a room and opened fire at her husband Pir Muhammad, and dragged his corpse and tortured even the dead body and set ablaze to her house converted that into ash.
She maintained that the killers then showed the dead body to the villagers by saying that if any opposed them, will face such sort of music. "We lodged FIR in nearby Police Station but the killers are still wandering the village sans any hesitation", she sobbed. Her son Gul Siyar while weeping said, if this is a New Pakistan of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, we don't need such system wherein there is no justice for oppressed people.
