Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday said that the agenda of 'anarchists' will never succeed, adding that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) will not compromise on supremacy of democracy and democratic institutions. He was presiding over a meeting of PPP's South Punjab chapter's office-bearers and the party's ticket-holders at Bilawal House Lahore.
The meeting discussed Multan's NA 149 constituency's by-election and the country's overall political situation. Speaking on the occasion, Zardari said that the constitution was created by the PPP and it would be protected by the party. He said that PPP firmly stood up against all dictatorship, adding that no conspiracy against democratic institutions would be tolerated. Zardari said that he would not restrict his movement to Lahore alone, but would visit all parts of Punjab to make party active again.
