Seven injured in remote controlled blast in Quetta

As many as seven people injured on Saturday in a remote controlled blast took place near a Cattle Market situated at Spini road area of Quetta. According to reports, the blast was carried out through a remote-controlled device targeting a vehicle of a senior police official DSP Pashtunabad Mohammad Naeem. The vehicle was completely destroyed.
Police said the explosive weighing 30 to 40 kilograms was planted in the car and the militants exploded the bomb after DSP Naeem Achakzai reached at the site of incident following the FC contingent. DSP Naeem and FC officers, however, remained safe whereas a few passer-bys and a shopkeeper got injured who were then shifted to the Bolan Medical College Hospital. The injured bore minor injuries and so are out of danger. The explosion was massive enough to be heard in the radius of two kilometers. Talking to media, DSP Naeem said that he was passing by the area along with his gunmen when the blast took place. The injured people were shifted to hospital for treatment.
