Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab (PDMA) Director General has taken notice of the protest by flood affectees of Multan due to non-payment of financial assistance and sought a report from the DCO Multan. The DG directed the administration to immediately redress the complaint, disclose a PDMA's spokesman here on Saturday.
The spokesman said that the Punjab government after a comprehensive survey report has decided to make cash payment of Rs 25,000 per affected family of the province. He also said the committee nominated by district administration identifies those people who have not been identified by NADRA officials, after which names of affected persons are included in the report.
